The Central New York Personal Computer Users Group was founded in 1985 by a small group of people who shared a common interest in personal computers. The group at present consists of over 200 members. As in our beginning, the Users Group is comprised of individuals whose level of skill with computing ranges from novice to professional. What draws us together is the desire to explore the ever-changing world of personal computing, and to share our insights with as many others as possible. CNYPCUG was granted federal non-profit status in 1989 and is an all-volunteer group. The group has adapted to changing technologies and now refers to itself as the Central NY Technology Users Group.
